Sayner is a private app for families and friend groups to collect photos and stories about the places, people, and traditions they share. This policy explains what information the app handles and what happens to it.
Your name. When you sign in with Apple, we save the name you choose to share so other members of your archives can see who added what. You can choose to share a different name (or “Hide My Email”) in Apple’s sign-in sheet — that choice is yours.
Your content. The photos, videos, stories, titles, dates, visit logs, and tags you add to an archive are stored so the members of that archive can see them. That’s the entire purpose of the app.
Nothing else. Sayner has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party data sharing. We don’t collect your location, contacts, browsing activity, or device identifiers. We never see your Apple ID password.
Content is stored with Supabase, our database and storage provider, in a private database. Photos and videos live in private storage and are only accessible to signed-in members of the archive they belong to — access is enforced at the database level, and media links are short-lived and expire.
Only the members of an archive can see that archive’s entries. Archives are invitation-only: someone must share an invite code with you before you can join. Nothing in Sayner is public.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (You tab → Delete Account). When you do:
You can report any entry and block any member from within the app. Reports are reviewed by the app operator. Blocking hides that person’s content from you only.
Sayner is intended for use by families, with accounts held by adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change with it.
